Hello. I´m new to this game, lots of fun, but by level 25 I have realized I have no idea what the fuck am I doing, build wise, with the enhancements and such.
I want to check guides but I´m not really sure which ones are still, well, relevant to the game. That´s not even mentioning stuff that´s brand new to the game, like the Knights powerset for the Mastemind.
Where can I get reliable help in building a character?
Also, suggestions for powersets combinations and whatnot.

Pretty much any combo of powersets is viable. Controllers and defenders aren't great at soloing in most cases, so you might not want one for your first character.
For early enhancements, I try to use an accuracy and 3 damage for every attack. You'll start missing more at around level 15, so the accuracy really helps. I may add a recharge reduction in a few attacks too. Enhancements have diminishing returns, so it's not worth using more than 3 of a kind.
At level 23, you can head to a university and craft level 25 invention origin enhancements (IOs). By this point, you may have noticed that enhancements get weaker if you out-level them. IOs don't get weaker, but they aren't better than normal enhancements until level 25. Crafting requires a recipes. One of the ways our server is different from others is that IO recipes can be bought at the merit vendor for one merit, and you get extra merits for completing story arcs here. All the crafting salvage is available at low prices in the auction house, which you should be able to access with the /ah command.
At around level 12, you'll start encountering enemies that can knock you around, stun, or immobilize, so you should get some protection for that. Melee characters get that from their armor powers, and other classes can get pool powers that offer some protection.
There's a lot more to get into, but I think that's the basics.

nekkidtruth: I think most also have a habit of creating their own SG's and keeping it to themselves. I don't invite to mine because it hosts all of my alts. However I do allow access for the telepads to those on my team.
